What's Needed in a First Aid Kit

There is no mandatory list of  items in a first aid kit but there are HSE recommendations which include:

  •  First Aid Guidance Leaflet
  • Sterile Adhesive Plasters
  •  No.16 Eye Pads 
  • Triangular Bandage  
  • Safety Pins 
  • Medium Sterile Dressing 12 x 12cms  
  • Large Sterile Dressing 18 x 18cms  
  • Alcohol Free Wipes  
  • Disposable Gloves (pair)

Sports First Aid Kits

70190

Code 70190 and 70192 These Kits have the standard first aid items but include bandages and plasters particularly suitable for sports injuries.  Also included is a First Aid Spray to give immediate relief to injuries.  The kits come in durable zip pouches ideal to put in sports kit bags.

70194-thumb.jpg Code 70194 - Also included in this range is an extremely comprehensive First Aid Kit in a durable nylon shoulder bag with internal compartments, ideal for Team events.  The variety of contents of this kit will allow the first aider to give treatment for most sports injuries and includes a sterile eye pad, cold pack, resusciade and First Aider Protection Pack.

 

Outdoor Pursuits

Code 33111 - This kit is suitable for individuals taking part in outdoor pursuits.  The standard kit content (eye pad not included) comes in a good sized PU nylon zip bum bag which can also be worn around the waist.  Room for additional contents.

 

Motoring

Code 70145 and Code 70146 - This UK Motoring First Aid Kit comes in a Plastic Box or PU Nylon Pouch.  The kit has standard first aid kit contents including a variety of types and sizes of bandages, plasters, eyewash solution, foil blanket and resusciade.  The Pouch can easily be stored in a glove compartment.

Code 34148 - The Advanced Motoring Kit contents are the same as 70145 and 70146 but come in a clear polythene multi-pocketed storage pack which allows easy access to First Aid items. This pack rolls up and fits in the first aid box.

 

Working Environments

Code 32106, 32108 & 32110

These kits come in three sizes to suit workplaces of between 10 and 50 staff.  They are most suitable for low risk areas such as offices, staffrooms, waiting areas etc. They hold standard basic first aid requirements. 

 

A risk assessment of the area where first aid is to be provided should always be carried out in order for the correct kit to be provided.  Our range of kits will cater for most working environments.
